I have always loved pop art for its high contrast recycling and repetition of product advertising and culture, I draw from the retro colours and shapes of 70s and 80s graphics and interior designs. People just get it, its simplicity is its strength, combination of pop art with nostalgia.

My roots are in anti-elitist community based art, I guess I am a bit of a modernist at heart - eve everyone has a creative spark, I also believe that the language of art should exist all around us- not just in a gallery. When we build art into our environment and everyday lives, that is when it truly transforms how we see and interact with it.

My style emanates from the past and the present both in its execution and inspiration, over the years I have facilitated all kinds of art groups and projects and used everything from oils to spray paints. I believe in order to combat the onslaught of consumerist propaganda art needs to be embedded in our environment and have a dynamic punch.

I regularly attend fairs around Sussex and exhibit in the Brighton Open Houses. I've run workshops in schools creating whole class wall hangings, also at events such as the Fairy Tale Fair and the hugely popular Brighton Mini Maker Faire bringing my workshop to over 100 people in one day! I always strive to reach new audiences and experiment with exhibiting my work alongside running drop in workshops. I really love showing people the wet felting process and seeing their fascination as their pile of wool transforms into a felted work of art. The uses of felt are endless, so too is the learning process which makes the nature of felt making so unexpected and so rewarding and each year I have many new exciting ventures.
